Do you offer same day shipping for my certificate of completion?

To ensure you meet your deadline, certificates are processed the same day you complete the online course. We offer standard shipping; please allow five to seven business days to receive your certificate after it is mailed. If you complete the course by 2pm on a weekday, the certificate will be shipped the same day. If you complete the course after 2pm, it will be shipped on the next business day.

 

How many times can you take the course?

Texas state law allows you to dismiss one traffic ticket every 12 months by taking an approved Texas driving safety course.

 

How does this course lower my insurance rates?

A benefit many drivers are not aware of is that taking a defensive driving course can save you money on your auto insurance. Many insurance companies offer a 10% discount on drivers' auto insurance premiums for three years just for taking our course.

 

Do I have to notify the court before taking the driving safety course (defensive driving course) for ticket dismissal?

Most municipal court judges and justices of the peace require you to contact the court before you take a State of Texas approved driving safety course for ticket dismissal. Can you give me any details about the course?

This online Texas defensive driving course will take six hours (360 minutes) to complete. The state of Texas requires the course to be six hours long; however, you do not have to complete the entire course in one session. Our system will keep track of your progress so you can begin exactly where you ended the previous session. There are also several course breaks between sections.

 

Do I need to provide a copy of my driving record to the court with my certificate?

Some courts do require you to provide a copy of your driving record to the court. You'll need to research where you had received your traffic ticket, but most courts require a copy of your Texas driver record to show you have successfully completed the course. The court that has jurisdiction over your Texas traffic ticket will depend on the law enforcement agency that issued the ticket and the location where you received your ticket. You'll be able to find the court having jurisdiction on your traffic ticket.

 

Is your course approved by all courts in Texas?
